Stefano is a landscape architect working in Chiswick. His grandfather owned a seed shop in Italy when he was a little boy. Using stunning photographs of isolated seeds, by Robert Lleweylln, I introduced the element of storytelling into his brand.
PROJECT :
Shillington College - Handmade Project
BRIEF :
To create a handmade book cover
PROCESS :
I decided to choose my favourite children's book, Banana by Ed Vere.
A book about two monkeys and one banana.
The story is told using only two words and follows the emotional rollercoaster the monkeys go through in order to work out how they can share the banana.
I thought about how the use of colour and typography throughout evoked a range of feelings and wanted to show this.
SOLUTION :
I spray painted a bunch of real bananas and used a biro to write 'banana' on each one, using different typography and colours to express each emotion.
Then adding a tactile element by creating a spine that felt just like banana skin.

PROJECT :
Shillington College - App Design
BRIEF :
To produce an app for a Brazilian food truck
PROCESS :
To understand the wants and needs of different personas and to show this by creating wireframes of a users journey.
To create a unique selling point for the company.
SOLUTION :
An app that would increase customers with:
Updates to notify customers when the food truck would be near their location.
Tailor-made profiles to meet any dietary requirements (vegan/pescatarian etc.)
Pre-ordering service with timing updates of food preparation times to eliminate waiting and guarantee fresh food.
Collaborations with street performers to encourage a community ethos.
PROJECT :
Shillington College - Poster Campaign
BRIEF :
To produce a poster that would support an important cause
PROCESS :
I chose to campaign against Malaria a curable disease currently killing 1 million people every year. As we were asked to produce a poster campaign I concentrated on hard hitting facts.
SOLUTION :
Installation Idea - A lift containing a mosquito net, which once inside would simulate the sound of a mosquito as if the mosquito was loose.
A pay-pass panel on the wall would then encourage people to donate and doing so, buy a mosquito net for a family in Africa and stop the sound of the mosquito.
PROJECT :
Shillington College - Student Work
BRIEF :
To reinvent something with a bad reputation
PROCESS :
How could I make Brussels sprouts needed and lovable?
SOLUTION :
Create Russel the Brussel.
Supermarkets with no Brussels sprouts in sight but just missing posters asking people to help find Russel.
'Russel Hunt' app families could use to look for Russel around the city centre in a 'Where's Wally' type treasure hunt.
Logging when and where they spotted him.
